PPD and New K-9 Team On The Job
I want to acknowledge the PPD for stepping it up as usual and doing what a law enforcement agency is supposed to do. According to the paper, Officer Jimmy Cash of the PPD made a drug bust worth more than $4000. This came after information was received by the Taylor County Joint Drug Task Force. Thank you for acting on that information and trying to make a difference. Keep it up! Also, congratulations to K-9 Officer Brian Curry and his partner Bandit for the quick apprehension of a burglar. Finally a K-9 team making arrests...thanks guys!
These folks need all the support they can get from the community.
Every day is a challenge and the rewards to themselves immeasurable, but the community needs to acknowledge them, also.
A letter to the editor or this site with a simple Thank You for a job well done, will surely but a smile on their faces.

I think the PPD is doing a great job with here new K-9 units. But wait doesn't the Sheriff's office have a K-9 or is it just for show and tell for the kids at the schools come -on Sheriff get with the program and some of the things you promesed us when your were wanting to be Re-Elected. The City Police Dept. in making you look bad...

I went to the K9 show the other night and was impressed to see Officer Curry and Officer Johnson their in the show with their dogs. From what I saw they did real well. I can't even get my dog to come to me unless I have a steak around my neck.
I talked to them after the show and they were really nice, saw the the Cruce guy from the Police Department was there ( don;t really like him) but he was there and even answered a couple of questions for me about the dogs. I am wondering where the Chief was at?
Congratulations to the K9 officers at the police department. and I am changing my mind about the Cruce guy, he was actually nice for once.

With a particular captain in charge of all operations, we should be safer at night LOL Sheriff, what were you thinking? Don't you know he is one of the arrogant and disliked member of your staff?

Just for clarification, are you guys talking about the Taylor County Sheriff's Department or the Perry Police Department. I am only asking because the word sheriff and deputies have been used.

The Cruce person works at the police department and is the Captain there.
There is a couple of other Captains at the Sheriff's Department, I do not know all of their names, but reading in it appears that someone is upset with one of the Captains at the Sheriff's Dept.
I would like to hear more about the discord, I did vote for Bummy and feel like if there is a problem we the people need to know about it.

Should have clarified my earlier post. I was/am talking about a captain in the sheriff's office. Seems he thinks he is the best thing since pb&j but is more like a one-man wrecking ball!
