TCSO Airboat Sunk In Madison County
Randy reports:
You should Post or report the Sheriff Dept's airboat sinking in the rescue efforts on the Madision county Withalacoochee waterways.
Madison County Sheriffs deputies reporting all around their town and that the Taylor sheriff's bodyguard was at the helm,( and another officer was involved his name they did not know). excessive speed , little training resulted in sinking the airboat.
Well once again hidden information, on purpose or cover up,from the public? Why were the citizens not told they would have to buy a New airboat and medals for the officers involved.
I am glad everyone was safe, but someone should report it.

If I could figure out a truly anonymous way to ask them, I would. But the last thing I want is to get branded as a troublemaker by them!

Didn't the moron who sunk the airboat just attend a course on boating safety? Either he didn't attend the course and say he did or he wasn't paying attention in class. What is a shame is that morons and troublemakers get medals and bronze eagles and dedicated officers get raked over the coals. What is wrong with this picture?

What's wrong with the picture is the leadership. You have Capitan's who's fighting to see who get to run the office and a Deputy who thinks he is in charge. I though the Sheriff would step up to the plate after the election but the Sheriff's office is still hiding and covering up thing from the citzens just like in the past. The Morale is worse then ever. I voted for Bummy he need to start earning the millon + dollors the taxpayers has paid him over the years. But I'm sure he will wait until elcetion year and make more promeses and a few drug bust to make him self look good again. He will not get my or my family's vote ever again it's time for someone new to Step-up, I'm sure who ever it is they can't do any worst.

Recently I have been following attempts by the County Att. to encourage the County Commission to give up it ownership of the Yates Creek Road. It is difficult for me to understand why the County would be so afraid to invest a little to protect the ownership of the public access to the Gulf and at the same time attempt to purchase access.
Taylor County does not have a deed to 99% of all the other roads in the Taylor County.
If they lease one road, wouldn’t they have to lease all the rest they don’t have a deed to as well???

It's called eminent domain. If they really want the road they'll take it. Right now would be a great time to do it too, because it's not worth jack !*&% and they wouldn't have to pay much for it.

A little off subject but regarding the TCSO. We all know that they are short handed in the area of road Deputies (there are more than enough Chiefs) - I hear that there were interviews just this week for Deputy Positions - guess who was seen going in for one of these??? Our very own Sheriff Candidate and former Deputy who was FIRED for stalking back in 2006. WOW is all I can say, maybe they will bring back ALL of the recently fired employees and have one **ll of a shift.
